The ITALIA SENZA TEMPO team landed in Casentino. The park sited between Romagna and Tuscany is the scenario of the last video made by Angelo Chiacchio and Walter Molfese, two young Italian film-makers who have been exploring and capturing some of the most beautiful protected areas in Italy for several years.
The one-week-long trip took place last fall. The two film-makers, carrying 40 kilos of gear, have reached 1600 meters, up to Monte Falco, the highest edge of the Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona, Campigna. Here between beech woods and shady forests, where the source of the Arno River is born, the two film-makers followed a path marked by the senior Italian Alpine Club (CAI) as difficult (EE). The total climb mesures in fact 1560m and the actual walk is equivalent to 14km.
The original soundtrack for the video has been written and produced by Montefiori Cocktail, a famous lounge duo from Romagna. As usual local artists were involved to add an original touch to the story.
The project is supported by the technical partner ShooTools, an Italian filmmaking motion equipement company.
“The Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi is one of those places that are just behind the corner and often go unnoticed. Here we had the privilege to see meet in person the sequoias, the largest trees in the world that you typically imagine being only in California.”

ITALIA SENZA TEMPO is a photographic project that was born to tell the most unusual side of Italy, made of magnificent natural places, often within reach but very much unknown. Jewels of the world’s natural heritage, often protected areas, places stock out of Time, where the man’s hand moves away and life follows the natural rhythm of the Sun and the stars.
